GoodThings Cafe White Bear Lake

Delicious coffee and freshly baked treats await you at the newly opened GoodThings Café in White Bear Lake. While the Café may be new to the GoodThings family of stores, it continues the 40-year-old legacy of Grandma’s Bakery, a much-loved local favorite that was recently sold to Wuollet Bakery.

“Grandma’s Bakery was an icon in the area. Everyone loved that bakery!,” says GoodThings owner Tyler Conrad. “Now GoodThings Café is open in the same location, and it feels great to bring that family bakery experience back to the people of White Bear Lake with delicious, fresh, locally made products.”

For the Conrad family, GoodThings Café is both a nod to the past and an investment in the future of downtown White Bear Lake. “We have something special here in WBL that is worth preserving,” insists GoodThings founder, Sharon Conrad. “The new GoodThings Café will bring more people to experience the wonderful, good things that downtown White Bear Lake has to offer. Providing a destination and gathering place for friends and families to enjoy delicious, quality food is a passion of ours,”

Pre-order all your Thanksgiving baked goods from the GoodThings Café! All made fresh and local, delightful Pumpkin Pies, Apple Pies, and Pecan Pies, are available as well as a variety of buns, decorated cookies, and cupcakes.

Meet Amy, Our GoodThings Café Manager

With over 34 years of experience in the bakery industry, our GoodThings Café Manager, Amy, believes that cooking is about putting your heart and soul into the taste of the cuisine. Born and raised in Minnesota, Amy first learned to cook and bake from her grandmother and has a heart for the small-town bakery businesses that bring families together. Her culinary experience is extensive with a degree in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management. She also has hands-on experience that includes working as an executive Pastry Chef and as an Executive Sous Chef for a Fortune 100 company.
